Dry Creek Trail Walk-Through 11/10/24
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, members of the East Invasive Species Association conducted an invasive species walk-through of the Dry Creek Trail area, joined by Steven from rewildearth.org. During the survey, we identified a variety of invasive plants requiring removal, including large portions of holly and privet, some mahonia, olive, patches of Nandina, and, most concerning, a significant infestation of kudzu along a section of the trail. These invasive species pose a serious threat to the ecosystem, and their removal is essential to safeguarding not only the trail itself but also the diverse range of species that depend on this habitat.
